Illustrator
Erin Stagg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and works as a professional Metis artist in Prince George, BC where she raises her young daughter. Erin shares her love of the land through her colourful acrylic paintings which reflect her connection to the land and her culture. Erin is Metis on her mom's side (with family names Piche, Aubichon and Poitras in her line). Her people are from Meadow Lake and spoke Michif and Cree (y-dialect).
Erin was the 2020/2021 Artist in Residence for the Community Arts Council of Prince George. In 2019 she won the Top Indigneous Owned Business award from the Prince George Chamber of Commerce. In 2021 she became a nationally awarded artist when she won 1st place in People's Choice from the Salt Spring National Art Prize.
Erin lives on the traditional unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation.
Erin is active on social media and has her own website where she sells her original paintings and prints.
